A new video and the lurgy was here again

Good morning! How are you? Hope you’re all well. Do you like my video? It’s my latest make on Canva. I just love the soundtrack. Anyway, we’re only just over a month away from the launch of the first of the Sisters of Sin novels (Vanity by Terry Wells Brown) and I’m am so excited about it. My first book, Greed, comes out on July 5.

So, what have you been doing? I’ve slowed down in my writing – got a really nasty cold about three weeks ago and couldn’t shake it till last week. Was exhausted, but I did manage to edit Greed and that’s now with my editor.  I am so much better now, so am back at it. I’ve got about 20,000 words of my second book, Envy, done and will be working away at it over the coming few weeks. I’ve also been working on a new romantic short story which I’ll be giving away free soon.

Unfortunately, due to aforementioned cold, I haven’t been doing much else. I had to cancel a few meet up with friends, which was rubbish. I knew it wasn’t Covid, but I didn’t want to pass my bugs on to other people. So, I’ve been pretty boring recently. 🙂  I have been binge watching several shows including The Witcher, which I loved. I’ve also been working away at my uni course.

What else? We lost another chicken last week, which was really sad. My little white Silkie, Luna, popped her clogs. I’m not sure why, but the poor thing was found stiff as a board in the coop. So, then there were two. I hate losing birds. There’s bird flu going around in Scotland right now, but I don’t think it was that. The lady who sold the Silkies to me did say they weren’t as robust as other chickens. Sigh. My original rescue hen, Nugget, is still going strong and so is the other Silkie, Buttercup. Fingers crossed nothing else happens.

Right, on that note, I’m going to say adieu. Am taking the dogs out for a walk and then I’ve got a long list of things I want to get done today. Til next time.

Dawn xxx
