Another member of the talented Lighthouse Stevensons, Dorothy Emily Stevenson was born in this month (I can’t find the date) in 1892 in Edinburgh. I loved Miss Buncle books…she’s a very talented writer. I’d really recommend her. Another excellent Scottish writer!
My Mum used to have all her books – still has some. YA was almost non-existent in my youth so I graduated from children’s books onto DE Stevenson and Agatha Christie. Happy days!
There weren’t many when I was a teen either. Thank goodness that’s all changed! Anyway am pleased I know another D E Stevenson fan!! Persephone Books in London sell a few of her books. You should check them out. They’ve got some great women writers.
