Today is Rubber Ducky Day, an event set up specifically to celebrate the importance of the humble rubber duck to bath-times everywhere.

No-one knows who invented the Rubber Ducky, but it first appeared just before the First World War and a man called, Landon Smart Lawrence was the first to patent a design for them.

To celebrate today, run a bath, dig out your ducks and hop in. Enjoy.
