March 15 – Potato Chip Day (or as we Brits call them, Crisps)


Today we celebrate the humble potato chip – crisps to the British – and all the delights they represent.

Supposedly invented for Cornelius Vanderbilt by chef, George Crum, the snack’s popularity spread when manufacturers were able to mass produce them in the 1920s.

What’s your favourite flavour? Mine? Has to be roast chicken or prawn cocktail.
