This snail has nothing to do with my post

Hello and how are you? It’s been really rainy and wet in ‘not so sunny’ Scotland…and really cold. Winter is definitely coming. I shiver just thinking about it! It’s time for hot winter stews, lap blankets and snuggling down in front of the telly to watch a cheesy Christmas movie (I love doing that).

Can’t believe it’s November already. Where did this year go? It’s true what they say – life really does get faster the older you get. Sigh.

Anyway, this week has been less busy than the previous few weeks and thank goodness. I couldn’t keep up that pace!! Apart from going to work, I’ve been working on a few Christmas pressies for family and friends (crochet…hark me, I never crochet, but I thought this year I would try something new), which has been really enjoyable.

I also finished the book I was reading – Martha Inc – which is about the rise of Martha Stewart, the USA’s uber cooking/baking/gardening/crafting queen. I love her books and I like her magazine. Going by the book and films I’ve seen of her life, I don’t think I’d like her as a person. Still an interesting read. She is one clever cookie when it comes to building her business.

Life has been trundling along nicely. Not much has been happening, but I like a quieter life…hence the reason why I live in a village rather in the city. The boy has another wobbly tooth, but isn’t making the same fuss about it. The girl is doing great and is attending art classes, which she loves. I’ve been to a couple of piano lessons now and it’s great. My teacher is lovely and she’s given me an Adele song to practise for my next lesson. Hubby has garaged the scooter for the winter and has taken up watching footie on telly…sigh. I hate footie. Still he works hard so deserves it.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi. I’m off now to do a bit of writing for the sequel to Dusting Down Alcudia. Til next time,

Dawn xxx
