I don’t know what’s wrong with me this week – it could be the change in the weather – but I can’t be bothered doing anything that I don’t have to. That means I still haven’t finished a pair of socks I’ve been knitting for weeks and I have done no knitting of the cushion cover. I haven’t even baked, which as a major lover of cake is practially unheard of for me. I did manage to finish chapter 14 of DI3 and am planning to do a bit more tonight. I think I need a holiday or someone to give me a good shake (or a hard Paddington bear stare) and tell me to get on with it. Or, to quote a little book of Scottish phrases I recently bought my hubby for his birthday, I should ‘Och wheest and get oan wi it!’. Perhaps a glass of wine (after I’ve done some writing) will help. Perhaps a glass of wine (during writing) will be better. Hmmmm. Thank God for Marks and their £10 meal deal cos there’s a cheeky wee white cooling in the fridge as I speak.
Okay, enough wittering. I’m away to have a glass and write something. Suddenly I feel motivated! Har har!
Dawn xx
