I’m back! Here’s what I’ve been doing!

Poppy

Okay, so crafting isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and I know I originally set this blog up to talk about writing, but as there’s only so much you can say about writing, I’ve decided to share some pics of some of the craft projects I was doing during my two weeks annual leave.

I LOVE knitting, I find it so relaxing, so I’ve mainly been knitting. Above is a young lady called Poppy that I knitted from Ysolda Teague’s Whimsical Little Knits. I loved the pattern straight off and only altered it slightly (ie I gave my doll longer hair). This little lady is going to go to my young niece who is 1 and is about to become a big sister. I thought it might help her get over the shock of not being an only child! I hope she loves this doll as much as I do.

Bunny Nugget

Above is Rebecca Danger’s free pattern for Bunny Nuggets. I knitted two – one each for the offspring. I thought they were cute.

Below are two pics…one of Ruby with her new clothes made from the doll clothes pattern from Growing Up Sew Liberated by Meg McElwee. Below her is Charlie, a bear I put together myself for the boy (am quite pleased with him although I think his arms are a little long) also dressed in the dungarees and t-shirt from Growing Up Sew Liberated. I now have orders for bedtime clothes, hats, shoes and coats! I think I’ll be busy for the coming weeks!!

  1. Ruby, Poppy and the rest of the gang are so sweet, you can tell they are treasured and loved, it must be nice to know that when you make clothes for them, they are hugely appreciated. Vanessa xxx
